Conflict Management
Understanding that conflict is a healthy part of organizations is a starting point. Long standing workplace conflict and unresolved issues lead to unhealthy work environments resulting in unproductive time, time loss, increased sick leave and employee turnover to name a few significant costs to your organization. Throughout this session we help employees understand how others view the same situation, develop collaboration skills as well as applying conflict management techniques and problem solving skills to help work through issues, disputes and arguments.
Participants will learn:
- To understand the difference between competition and conflict
- To understand the common causes of conflict
- To recognize the stages and signs of conflict
- To assess your own personal style for dealing with conflict and learn how the four other styles operate
- To apply techniques to case study scenarios to practice handling conflict while recognizing the different approaches that are found in the organization.
