People in Focus Consulting Ltd. has been in business since 2004, providing solutions for organizations focused on people and the structures that support positive relationships. Our aim is to build the capacity of individuals and organizations. Susan McIntyre, MBA, FCHRP brings over 30 years of senior level business experience in human resources, corporate services and operations, from a broad range of employers (private industry, government, first nations and not for profit organizations).
Susan’s experience in the human resources field provides a broad range of practical and tailored services to her clients. She has helped organizations develop the best practices to attract, recruit and retain employees.
Achievements
- After developing a salary survey as a benchmark for the industry and geographic location, the organization was able to obtain additional funding for a salary increase. This enabled the organization to retain staff, reduce attrition and provide higher levels of customer service.
- Initiated and implemented skill development of line supervisors resulting in decreased turnover, increase morale and productivity.
- Improved operational capability resulting in superior business practices and profitability.
Susan's expertise ranges from recruitment to organizational design to continuous improvement initiatives; conflict and change management, supervisor development, and performance management. Susan also facilitates courses that focus on realistic results using practical examples that ensure that learning is transformational and sustainable. She provides individual and group coaching. She has developed an audit tool to assess your human resource needs, can provide compensation and organizational analysis.
Susan holds a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation and was awarded the Fellow in 2011 (FCHRP). She has a Masters in Business Administration in Leadership through Royal Roads University. She also has an Executive Diploma in Management specializing in Human Resources from Thompson Rivers University, as well as several years of study in Business Administration at Simon Fraser University. She currently Chairs the TRU Alumni Association. Susan previously sat on the National Professional Standards Committee for the CCHRA, and was a Director with the BC Human Resources Management Association for six years.
